Minnesota Adult Basic Education

The mission of Adult Basic Education (ABE) in Minnesota is to provide adults with educational opportunities to acquire and improve their literacy skills necessary to become self-sufficient and to participate effectively as productive workers, family members, and citizens.
One of the ways this mission is lived out is through the services provided through the ABE Supplemental Services grant program.
Minnesota ABE Support Network
Three percent (3%) of state ABE (Adult Basic Education) funding is used to fund activities that support adult education programs and staff across Minnesota in key areas. These activities are provided by the members of the Minnesota Adult Education Support Network - organizations that have received ABE Supplemental Service grants from the state to fund their Minnesota Adult Education work.
Support Network providers are guided in their efforts by the Minnesota Adult Education PD Standards.
